BOULDER, Colo. – The Coach Development Department is excited to announce its partnership with Better Rugby Coaching, an online resource dedicated to the betterment and continuous education of rugby coaches around the world.

“At Better Rugby Coaching we are committed to providing world class coaching advice to new and developing rugby coaches.  We are therefore delighted to be working with USA Rugby to promote and support the sport throughout America”, said Toby Curthoys, Better Rugby Coaching Publisher. “Providing Smart Sessions Core Skills, our flagship rugby coaching resource, direct to coaches in the USA is an exciting opportunity.  Our objective from this is to help aspiring coaches achieve their full potential and that of their players.”

Smart Sessions Core Skills are “grab and go” training plans that are specifically designed for coaching the basics of the game to players of any age or at any level.  Each Smart Sessions Core Skills provides the information needed to run a one-hour full training session.  With a new fresh plan delivered each week, the aim of Smart Sessions Core Skills is to dramatically reduce the coach’s preparation time, leaving them to concentrate on their players.

The partnership will take effect beginning with the summer and fall 2009 certification workshop seasons.  Each coach who participants in either an Introducing Rugby or Developing Rugby Skills CDP certification course will receive a free 1-year subscription to Smart Sessions Core Skills.
